Below are images of art created by adults participating in InsideOut Studio, an initiative through the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities that provides an opportunity for artists with disabilities to produce, market, and receive an income from their art while gaining confidence in their abilities. The art below was created during a two week residency in 2014. Artists worked one-on-one with me and InsideOut Studio staff to create small (12″-24″) fabric figures inspired by their own drawings, celebrities, or their own imaginations.
The images below are art created in 2015 by seniors as part of the Ohio Artful Aging project. During my two week residency, I taught art at a senior center and two senior living centers in Granville and Newark, Ohio.
